Connecticut imam: In November, Muslims will ‘drop this administration,’ show ‘Muslims are strong, can make change’

Throughout history, we see it: with Muslim settlement comes attempts to gain political power and assert supremacy. America has welcomed numerous immigrant groups that have had some people seek and attain political power, but America has never before seen a group for which the attainment of political power was the primary, if not sole, priority.

In his July 5, 2024 Friday sermon in Windsor, Connecticut, imam Muhammad Ghoneim said that the Muslim community must show the government that in the November 2024 elections “it will remember” and drop this administration. He prayed that Allah unite the mujahideen in Palestine, annihilate the “criminal occupiers” and those who support them with money, weapons, and ammunition. The sermon was streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Islamic Center of Connecticut.

Muhammad Ghoneim: “What is going on? Where is the Jihad? Where is the struggle in the way of Allah? Where is saying the true word? So brothers, we have to show this government that in November we will remember, and we have to drop this administration, and give the American politics [the message] that Muslims are strong and can make change, inshallah.

“Oh Allah, unite the ranks of the mujahideen in Palestine, make them stronger, and guide their shooting. Oh Allah, ease their pain, heal the wounded and cure the ill among them, and accept their martyrs in Paradise.

“Oh Allah, annihilate the attacking, murderous, criminal occupiers. Oh Allah, annihilate them, for they are no match for You. Oh Allah, disperse their ranks, break their power, humiliate their leaders, vanquish their army, and bring their state to an end. Oh Allah, annihilate them, for they are no match for You. Oh Allah, eliminate them like You eliminated ‘Aud, Thamud, Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman. Oh Allah, demonstrate upon them the wonders of Your might and the ferocity and speed of Your vengeance. Oh Allah, annihilate them along with those who support them and supply them with money, weapons, and ammunition. Oh Allah, annihilate them along with those who besiege the Muslims. Oh Allah, cleanse the Muslim countries from the filth of these scoundrels. Oh Allah, cleanse the Muslim countries from these tyrannical criminals that besiege our brothers in Palestine.”
