Minority Whip Senator John Thune – (R) SD Speaks Out Both Sides of His Mouth

A February 18, 2022 Breitbart article quotes Senator Thune as saying;
”Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) asserted that the Democrats’ “far-left policies are so far out of of the mainstream” that it would keep them from getting elected in the upcoming midterm elections.
Thune told Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” that Democrats “have a lot of explaining to do to the American people” because of the state of the economy. He added they would need to come back to the center if they want to get re-elected.”
As the minority whip for the Senate, a primary role of Senator Thune’s job is to ensure Republican Senators are on the same page to support conservative principals by casting votes in support of those principals. I am saying he is a failure on two fronts;
1. Fifty one percent of our Senators – that is 26 out of 50, have given the liberals their votes on the top fifty votes for the last six years. If we were to say he was a success in getting the majority of Republican Senators to support the liberal agenda he is then a success. However, he cannot claim this as a success by stating he supported American conservatives who voted for him in office.
2. Senator Thune is one of the twenty 26 Senators who has voted in the liberal agenda for the last six years. He is a major part of our Senate problems.
Let’s sort his political rhetoric from the reality of his actions. Here is the irrefutable proof that Senator Thune’s words and actions do not match.
(1) His voting record. This information is based upon the Senator’s top 50 votes over the last six years. He has voted the liberal agenda by giving 62% of his votes to support the liberal agenda. Source
(2) Specific actions earning him the title of Rino. Senator Thune wasted 2016-2018 Senate majority because of his hatred of Donald Trump. He clearly not only abused his position of minority whip he also abused those who voted for him by setting aside the “will of the people” for his own personal agenda. Source
Senator Thune, we don’t care if the liberals explain anything or not. We know their game. However Senator, it is you that owes an explanation to American conservatives.
Your political rhetoric is just that – rhetoric whose basis is built upon deceit, lies, abuse and downright theft of taxpayer money. Not only is it you that should explain to American conservatives you should also resign immediately. Once the bonds of trust are broken it is nearly impossible to ever regain trust. That you can take to the bank.
It is very clear that the Conservatives in both chambers who have earned the D’s and F’s with their votes do not see how much working class Conservatives despise and loathe them. Do they choose to ignore us? Or, are they just incompetent arrogant buffoons? In my opinion, it is both.
Thune is up for re-election in 2022. South Dakota you have three new candidates running against Thune. Pick one and get behind them. Please, do not vote for Thune. Recognize that we can’t keep re-electing those that deceive us over and over and expect a different result.
