Parents outraged by controversies over transgender policies, sexual assaults and the teaching of critical race theory in their schools, have informed Virginia’s Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) Board that they’ve collected enough signatures to ask a judge to remove leading board members.

“Virginia law requires those seeking to remove elected officials to collect signatures totaling at least 10% of the votes cast in the previous election and file a petition, which then initiates court proceedings where a judge or jury decides if the official is removed,” Newsmax explains.

At Tuesday’s school board meeting, parents spoke out against the handling of reported sexual assault cases and announced they have obtained enough signatures to both remove the board’s chairwoman and initiate legal action against the vice-chairwoman and two other board members, The Washington Examiner reports:

“The Loudoun County school board became the central focus of a national movement of parents concerned about public education after it was revealed that the board and county Superintendent Scott Ziegler had been aware of a May sexual assault perpetrated by a male student in the women’s bathroom of a local high school. The student was allowed to transfer to another high school, where he was subsequently charged with committing a second assault.”

….

“County parents associated with the political action committee Fight for Schools announced to the board at its Tuesday meeting that they had compiled over 2,000 signatures to remove Loudoun County school board Chairwoman Brenda Sheridan. They also revealed they had enough signatures to initiate legal action to remove Vice-Chairwoman Atoosa Reaser and board members Ian Serotkin and Denise Curbo.”

“See you in court,” a parent said, telling the board that she does not want them to resign – because it would be “much more satisfying” to take the case to a judge. Another parent chastised the county’s activist school teachers who “brainwash” children, indoctrinating them in the “Marxist philosophy” of Critical Race Theory” and hatred, The Daily Mail reports:

“One mother speaking at the meeting, Megan Jenkins, addressed the board members, saying: ‘I’m not going to encourage any of you to resign because when you are recalled and removed from office, it will be much more satisfying. See you in court.’”

…..

“Erin Dunbar, a parent speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting, accused the school board of spending taxpayer money to teach ‘Marxist philosophy’ critical race theory. ‘You have activist teachers using to indoctrinate their hate in kids who are at the mercy of their authority,’ she said. ‘That is child abuse. And you have no right to brainwash children into believing that their skin color determines their purpose.’”
