President Trump says a huge protest in Washington, D.C., will help ring in the new year and boost support for him not to leave office after his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden.
Trump has continued making accusations of voter fraud in the election and has refused to concede to Biden, whom he believes unfairly won the election.
“Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” Trump tweeted on Saturday.

Peter Navarro releases 36-page report alleging election fraud ‘more than sufficient’ to swing victory to Trump https://t.co/D8KrMHnFdK. A great report by Peter. Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!

Trump supporters have come to D.C. a few times in recent weeks to show support for the president and back his claims that Biden is not the true victor of the election.

Biden was certified by the Electoral College last week and was given 306 votes to Trump’s 232. The former vice president was declared the winner by multiple media outlets more than a month ago.

Trump’s legal team says they will continue their legal efforts in multiple states even into 2021.

Inauguration Day is scheduled for Jan. 20, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, will likely take place in a nontraditional format and a smaller gathering.
