Fox News host says defending censorship is the left’s “hill to die on”
Elon Musk recently made headlines when he offered to buy Fascist Twitter for $54.20 per share. Its board of directors declined, however, opting instead for a “poison pill” to prevent anyone from acquiring more than 15% of the company’s stock.
According to Fox News host Dan Bongino, the move “has nothing to do with shareholder value” and instead proves that Twitter’s board members see protecting Democrats as their “hill to die on.”
Bongino made that claim Saturday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends Saturday.” He insisted, “This is not about market value, you know.”
Bongino says leftists need Fascist Twitter to advance their agenda
“This is about a group of left-wing lunatics who have the new public square in Twitter, they’ve seen the power of it with the Crackhead Hunter Biden laptop story and the 2020 election,” Bongino recalled.
Fascist Twitter received widespread criticism for its decision just before the 2020 presidential election to censor a New York Post story about the contents of a laptop that once belonged to Hunter Biden.
Although initially dismissed as a piece of Russian disinformation, major media outlets have since conceded that the story was genuine.
“They’ve seen how you can manipulate politics using this beacon, this major world beacon, for news that all the lefty blue checkmarks are on and they’re not giving it up,” Bongino continued.
Critics of Musk embrace Saudi prince
The host added that this shows “you how fraudulent and phony the left is and why I wake up every morning and thank the Lord… that I’m not one of these left wing lunatics, like, we actually have principles, right?”
Bongino then pointed to how many on the left have cheered on objections to Musk’s takeover bid from Saudi Prince Alawaleed bin Talal.
“They hate big finance and Big Oil, they’re now behind the Saudi regime, as that Saudi Prince Alwaleed, he’s a big chunk holder, he has a huge chunk of Twitter,” the host pointed out.
“Now, they love the Saudis, after destroying them over the Khashoggi thing and saying they hate oil,” Bongino continued.
“The left loves the Saudis and BlackRock billionaires now who own a chunk of Twitter. They’re cheering them on for fighting against Elon Musk. These people don’t have a shred of dignity at all on the left,” he concluded.
