“Hundreds of high school students threatened with beheading after hacking,” translated from “Des centaines de lycéens menacés de décapitation après un piratage,” Paris Match, March 21, 2024 (thanks to Medforth):
High schools in Île-de-France were affected by the hacking of their digital workspace (ENT). The students received threats in their email from an individual promising to “decapitate” them and “blow up” their establishment.
Stupor in several educational establishments. Hundreds of high school students received a threatening message this Wednesday, March 20 via their digital work space (ENT). In this letter, sent late in the afternoon, the author indicated that he was acting on behalf of the Islamic State, according to information from Le Figaro.
“Tomorrow, Thursday March 21, I will explode the entire establishment around 11/3 p.m. and I will decapitate all your bodies” wrote this individual in an email obtained by our colleagues. “I put C4 everywhere in the school and in the classes. I hope that your kuffar bodies (name given to non-Muslims, Editor’s note) will explode into 1,000 pieces” we can still read there.
The high school students also received a beheading video, attached to the threatening email, our colleagues specify.

A student’s ENT account was allegedly hacked, according to BFMTV, allowing an individual to send a message to other high school students. According to the Ministry of National Education contacted by Le Parisien, around twenty high schools are affected by this cyberattack and this only in Île-de-France. These establishments are mainly located in Hauts-de-Seine, Yvelines, Val-d’Oise or even in Val-de-Marne.This Thursday, March 21, the prefectures concerned announced that they were strengthening vigilance around these establishments. The Yvelines prefecture has, for example, announced that “static surveillance” in front of the targeted high schools will be put in place and that police patrols will be reinforced nearby.
For its part, “the region has contacted the police and the courts”, declared on X (formerly Twitter) Valérie Pécresse, who “wants the perpetrators to be quickly identified and severely punished”. In addition, a complaint was filed and a Pharos report was made after the message was sent to the ENT, reports BFMTV.
