Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Parents Defending Education!

2021 was an incredibly challenging year for parents, teachers, and concerned citizens across the country. Our faith in the system we trusted to teach and protect our children was shaken. We have been vilified, accused, and targeted by the media and even leaders we elected to serve us.

But I also believe we have much to be thankful for.

At the top of my list is the vital work you and I are doing together to protect our children and restore a healthy, non-political education for the next generation.  It’s shown just how effective it can be when we work together to fight the powerful forces arrayed against us and our children:

• Our Consultant Report Card is shining a powerful spotlight on the  big business of implementing “woke” curriculum in our schools — and parents, politicians, and the media are sitting up and taking notice.
• After the National School Boards Association (NSBA) labeled parents as domestic terrorists and threatened them with investigation by the FBI, the backlash was swift. The NSBA was forced to apologize, an ever-increasing number of states (who provide NSBA’s funding) have withdrawn from the organization, and the incident left the White House with a black eye after we revealed  the administration colluded with the NSBA prior to the letter’s release.
• In Virginia, which has been on the front lines of the battle for America’s children, gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe suffered a shocking campaign loss after saying in an interview, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach” — and after doubling and tripling down on statements contemptuous of parent concerns about the direction of our schools.

The message we’re sending is that America’s parents are fed up — and they’re emboldened and ready to take action.

Chip, that brings me to one more thing I’m thankful for this year — YOU.

Because the work we’ve done together and the victories we achieved in 2021 could not be possible without your support, your powerful voice, and your commitment to reclaiming our schools from activists promoting harmful agendas.

So thank you for supporting Parents Defending Education, and refusing to be silenced by radical activists, power hungry politicians, and the biased media. Thanks to bold and dedicated parents, teachers, and citizens like you, we have much to be thankful for this year!
