‘An explosion is coming’: Hamas threatens Israel with more jihad attacks as Ramadan approaches

IMAGINE OBIDEN IS WORKING ON STOPPING ISRAEL

More than four months after Hamas terrorists barbarically murdered over 1200 Israelis and took hundreds of others hostage, the Gaza-based Islamic terrorist group is threatening Israel with a new wave of terror attacks as the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan approaches.

Hamas vowed to unleash an “explosion” of violence and terror against Israel if Muslims, particularly military-age men, were restricted from entering Jerusalem’s Temple Mount during Ramadan on security grounds in the wake of ongoing counter-terrorism operation in Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s national unity government recently proposed to restrict the entry of military-age Muslim man to the Temple Mount during the month of Ramadan set to start on March 10. The proposed “restrictions would bar all Arab Israelis under the age of 40 from accessing the mosque compound,” The Times of Israel reported February 20, citing government officials. “Security officials reportedly told the [cabinet] meeting that most troublemakers from among Arab Israelis or from East Jerusalem are below the age of 40,” the Israeli news website noted.

The month of Ramadan in Israel is often accompanied by a wave of violent rioting and terrorist attacks aimed at innocent Israeli civilians — much like in other countries with majority or substantial Muslim populations.

“‘An explosion is coming’: Hamas warns against Ramadan restrictions on Temple Mount,” by Sam Halpern, Jerusalem Post, February 24, 2024:

Hamas issued a warning to Israel on the terror organization’s Telegram channel on Saturday, threatening an ‘explosion’ of rage should Muslim access to al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount be restricted during Ramadan.

“Let our enemy know that souls are boiling… [our] anger is imminent… and an explosion is coming in response to any restrictions on the entry of Muslims to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan,” Hamas wrote.

Last week, The Jerusalem Post reported that a source had confirmed that visitation rights to the Temple Mount for West Bank Palestinian Muslims would be restricted to individuals over the age of 60 and under the age of 10.

Possible restrictions on Israeli Muslims were still under review. Specifically, KAN subsequently reported that the restriction of access to the Temple Mount for Israeli Arabs below the age of 40 was being examined.

“We call on the people of our Palestinian people in the occupied territories, Jerusalem and the West Bank, to escalate the confrontation of the occupation everywhere,” Hamas wrote in a previous message on Telegram. The Islamist terror organization added that they called upon Palestinians “to mobilize and march to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, to protect it from the desecration of the usurping settlers, and to thwart all fascist plans targeting the Holy Mosque and the Holy City.”
