One Positive Thought: At Least Trump is President!

During the Chinese flu pandemic, it can be hard to stay positive, especially if your mind is not attuned to think “well, at least Trump is president.” Sure maybe you took my suggestions of books to read during quarantine and that helped out, and maybe you actually enjoy being at home with your family all day, every day. I’m sure dogs everywhere are rejoicing.

But, still, we’re all stuck at home with little to do and it’s getting tiresome. Even worse, thousands are terribly sick and dying. It can be hard to stay positive in the face of China’s malfeasance, which is the cost of globalization, and in the face of Big Government’s attempts to strip us of our liberty and wreck the private-sector economy. But, here’s one positive thought: at least Trump is president!

If he were not president, then we’d be in a far worse boat. The corrupt Democrats, headed by the awful Hillary Clinton, would be in charge. Just think how terrible that would be. The economy would be sinking, but it never would have boomed beforehand. They wouldn’t hold China to account for its crimes and their Big Government policies would likely be worse. And, we wouldn’t get to see Trump melting the snowflakes every day. At least he’s fun to watch!

This crisis is a miserable one. But, at least Trump is president. We shouldn’t let our views of his hugely successful presidency be clouded by the Chinese flu; it is China’s fault, not his. He cut taxes, stands up for America, and has ended the interventionist era. That’s why real Americans support Trump. Meanwhile, the Democrats have just complained and tried to use impeachment to launch a coup against him. They’re awful and a Hillary presidency would have been terrible. Thank goodness she’s not president!

And Creepy Joe Biden, the incompetent dolt running against President Trump right now, is going to lose in a landslide. Or, as President Trump will say, a “yuge, terrific, very beautiful” landslide.

So, whatever else 2020 brings us, we will still be able to say “well, at least Trump is president right now. That’s a good thing.” And you will be able to say that in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Four more years!

These are dark times. They are, as Thomas Paine once said, “the times that try men’s souls.” There are riots supported by the Democrats, economic hardships created by Democrat lockdowns, and many other problems ailing American society. But all is not lost. We still have hope. At least Trump is president right now; with Hillary in charge, things would be a lot worse.
