White House Blasts “Shameful” Mueller Prosecutors in Roger Stone Commutation Statement

White House Blasts “Shameful” Mueller Prosecutors in Roger Stone Commutation Statement

The White House released a statement Friday night announcing the commutation of the prison sentence of Roger Stone that blasted the Mueller team’s prosecution of Stone. The statement says Trump did not pardon Stone as Stone maintains his innocence and is appealing his conviction.

The statement called the pre-dawn raid by the Mueller team to arrest Stone at his home a “shameful spectacle” and questioned the presence of a CNN news team for the arrest of the 67-year-old Stone.

The commutation comes on the same night as the U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C. rejected Stone’s appeal to delay the start of his 40-month prison sentence that was due to start next week.

Appeals court says NO to Roger Stone’s request for a prison delay.

It’s a 4-page unsigned opinion.

Bottom line: Stone “not legally eligible for further postponement of his reporting date.”

But he can go back to his trial judge if he wants (Prediction: he won’t) pic.twitter.com/IqamcHYKry

As it became clear that these witch hunts would never bear
