URGENT: Emergency Request at SCOTUS

Earlier this week, America First Legal joined a significant case involving a highly partisan redistricting plan in Pennsylvania. We filed an emergency application for an injunction against the Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth, the Director for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Election Services, and the Governor of Pennsylvania, Democrat Tom Wolf.

These unconstitutional actions were part of a nationwide strategy by liberal activists and Democratic operatives to subvert election laws in order to tilt them in a direction that suited their partisan interests.

In this case, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered the use of a highly partisan congressional map, favoring Democrats, and the usage of an illegally adjusted election calendar. And – it’s no surprise that longtime Democratic legal operative, Marc Elias, and other hard-left pressure groups were supporting the skewed map.

Guess what? Nobody stopped them.

The approved map violates the Constitution.

The Constitution is clear: the legislature of each state determines the time, place, and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives- not liberal pressure groups or activist state courts.
